What GiT Parking is for

GiT Parking is a system by GiT solutions for residential building garages. It has two parts:

• the garage system — cameras read plates at the entrance and exit, and the system decides whether the barrier opens;
• the app and web — owners see their vehicles and spots and get notifications; the building manager runs owners, vehicles and spots of their building, sends messages to owners and can open the entrance.

Accounts are not self-registered. Access is granted by an administrator or building manager through an email invitation. GiT Parking is not a public car park or a map of free spots.

Who processes the data

For a building's garage, owner and vehicle data is entered and used by the manager. GiT solutions provides and maintains the system and processes the data on their behalf and to run the app.

What data we process

Only what is needed for the account, the garage and notifications:

• account — name, email, phone (if entered), role (administrator, building manager, apartment owner) and link to the station and apartment;
• vehicles and spots — licence plates, parking spots and which vehicle may use which spot;
• garage passages — plate, entry and exit time, camera and direction, whether the vehicle is inside; a camera snapshot of the vehicle at the moment of passage;
• manual barrier opens — who opened it, when, and the note;
• notifications and messages — messages about your vehicle entering and leaving, spot overflow, messages from the building manager, and whether you read them; your notification settings (on/off, per plate);
• phone — the push notification token and device type (Android/iOS), so messages reach the phone you are signed in on;
• sign-in — a log of successful and failed sign-ins, to protect the account.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a verified email and your name if they send it. We never see or store their password. The email must already exist in GiT Parking. Apple's "Hide My Email" is not supported, because the account must match the email entered by the building manager.

Your GiT Parking password is stored only as a hash, never as plain text.

What we do not do

• we do not sell data or share it for advertising;
• we do not build marketing profiles from your vehicles or passages;
• we do not request the phone's GPS location — the garage works with plates and stations.

Why we process data

• to run the service — account, garage entry, vehicles, spots and messages (performance of the contract and the service ordered by the garage);
• garage and account security — passage records, camera snapshots, manual open logs, protection against password guessing (legitimate interest of the building and its users);
• phone notifications — only if you turn them on; you can turn them off on your Profile, entirely or per plate (consent).

Where the data comes from

• you or the station's manager enter it;
• the garage cameras and system send it (vehicle entry and exit);
• Google or Apple, if you sign in with their account;
• your phone (push token), when you sign in to the app.

Cookies and this website

• parking.git.rs — sign-in session, language and theme; Google reCAPTCHA v3 against sign-in abuse;
• Android app — the same sign-in to parking.git.rs and the push notification token;
• this website — sets no cookies and has no forms; fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address.

Who we share data with

• Google — Firebase Cloud Messaging (push delivery), Google sign-in and reCAPTCHA;
• Apple — only if you use Apple sign-in;
• Amazon Web Services — sending emails (invitation, password) and, if configured for the building, storing camera snapshots;
• hosting — the servers running the central service and this website;
• the garage system — owners, vehicles and spots, so the barrier and records work.

Some of these services store data outside Serbia, mostly in the European Union. We use them under their contractual data protection terms.

How long we keep data

• account, vehicles and spots — while they exist on a station; once the account is removed from every station, sign-in is no longer possible;
• camera snapshots — for a limited period set by the garage manager, then deleted automatically;
• passages, manual opens and messages — while the account and the garage records exist, for reports and checks;
• phone token — while the device is active; once Google reports it as invalid, we stop using it.

Your rights

Under the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a copy of your data, and you can object. You can turn notifications off yourself on your Profile.

Write to office@git.rs. We reply within 30 days at the latest.

If you believe we process data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.

Account deletion

You can delete your account yourself in the app: Profile → Delete account, then type your email to confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you cannot sign in, email office@git.rs from the address you sign in with. Your station's manager can also remove the account.

After deletion your sign-in, phone token, settings and messages are removed. If you are an apartment owner, the building manager keeps the apartment, spot and plates as inactive, no longer linked to the account. Garage passage records may be kept while the building needs them for security.

Children

The service is for owners and building managers and is not intended for children under 16.
